“Akshaya Trutiya” a day known worldwide as the day on which the construction of three carts of "Ratha Yatra" begins. Akshaya Trutiya, also known as Akti or Akha Teej, is an annual springtime festival of the Hindus and Jains.
Banamali Foundation have taken a initiative for the children of our society. We celebrate this occasion by distributing Ghadi Patuli(a small pot filled with sweets and various eatables), books, pens, toys, and food to a large number of children at various locations.
It is observed regionally by Hindus and Jains in India and Nepal, as signifying the "third day of unending prosperity". The festival date varies and is set according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar, and falls in April or May of every year in the Gregorian calendar.
Distribution of Education Materials
Banamali Foundation is making continuous efforts to educate children , and provide them with materials to aid in there studies.
Parents who are homeschooling their kids and cannot provide for their children, find supplementary material that will help them be part of their children's learning.
On behalf of Banamali Foundation free books, pens, pencils, and food was distributed by the trust members to children at Inchol, Gop, Puri.
Free Food Distribution
Banamali Foundation has taken an initiative for the helpless and poorest section of our society .
Free food was distributed on the occasion of "Gobind Dwadashi Buda" at two places. One at Baneswar Bhootnath Temple Swargadwar and the second at S.C.S College No-1 Hostel Square, Puri Odisha. It was provided by our Managing Trustee of BDWDF and AGHOR Charitable Trust.
Free Medical Camp, Puri
On behalf of Banamali Foundation a Free Medical Camp for the poor and needy children & helpless villagers was conducted with the help of our donors. The Experts and Specialist Doctors & Pathologists participated in this program. During this Camp, they Check up on the patients & diagnosis their disease with special care and give advice & distributed medicines free of cost.
Plantation Programme at Puri
On behalf of our trust (BDWDF) Banamali Das Welfare and Development Foundation dated 05.08.2020 , we planted nearly 250no.s of trees at S.C.S College campus Puri.
The campaigns are community-owned and managed and always implemented alongside environmental education and awareness, to promote environmental stewardship, encouraging a sense of responsibility of the planted trees.
Diwali
Worldwide known as Diwali mostly celebrated in India. For our trust it’s most important because the person named “Banamali Das” was born on that day 11-11-1928. It’s a function of lights and we hope lets God blessed the trust to bring light and happiness in the remote dark areas.
Winter approaches by Diwali, so on behalf of Banamali Foundation, we distribute a number of blankets to people on daily basis.
Free Food Distribution at Urban Shelter Home
Thanks to Puri District Administration and Odisha Patita Udhara Samiti (OPUS) for giving our trust Banamali Das Welfare and Development Foundation (BDWDF) an opportunity to provide dinner every day and lunch on Government holidays at Shelter for Urban Homeless, Near Mangala Mandir, Sarvodaya Nagar, Puri where distressed senior citizens are residing. From 21st July to 31st August 2019, we started serving them with food. On 4th Aug 2019 (Sunday), Indian Medical Association lead by Dr. Sanat Kumar Mohapatra and his team volunterally come forward for free medical check up with free medicines provided to them through our trust. The trust is highly obliged for their service. Our effort can bring a smile on their face and they will feel homely at that place.
Kartika Purnima ( Various Events)
On behalf of our trust Banamali Foundation, we conducted various events on this day such as Khirsagar Mela, Clowning Event, RTI awareness Programme, free food distribution, Plantation Programme, Bhajan, Kirtan and free Blanket provided to villagers.
We celebrated the day Kartika Purnima by distributing free food ,free blankets to the villagers at Ishaneswar Mahadev Temple at village Inchol, Bania Sahi, Gop, Puri, Odisha.
Inchol Cricket Tournament
On behalf of our trust organized the Ceremony of Silver Jubilee Cricket Tournament was held at “MAA ALABAI” Cricket Stadium, Inchol, Chaitanna, Puri , Odisha. In this program, we invited Mr Sameer Ranjan Das (M.L.A Nimapara) and Smt. Snehalata Das (Founder of Trustee of BDWDF)as our chief guests for the inauguration. Chief Speaker Mr Dibakar Patra (Member of Zilla Parishad) were some of the eminent personalities who addressed and motivated the prize winners. This ceremony was followed by various cultural programmes such as Skating, Mahari Dance and Sangeet Karyakram. On behalf of our trust we would like to special thanks to villagers who joined their hand and support us to make it successful.
Ratha Yatra( Free Food Distribution )
On behalf of our trust (BDWDF) Banamali Das Welfare and Development Foundation we distributed free vegetarian food like Veg Biriyani, Veg Curry, Choley, Upama and Sooji Halwa to more than 50,000 devotees on the occasion of Ratha Yatra on 04.07.2019 at two places one at Jagannath Ballav Matha and the other location being Malatipatpur Bus Stand , Puri.
Suna Besha-2019 at Puri
On the eve of Suna Besha 13.07.2019, our trust Banamali Das Welfare and Development Foundation distributed Vegetarian Food like Veg Biriyani, Upama, Dalma, Sooji Halwa, Choley, Bisleri Mineral Water and Srimad Bhagwat Geeta to the devotees freely at Banamali Nivas Balabhadra Lane, Baneswar Bhutnath Temple Swargadwar, Jhadeswari Club premises and Marchikote Lane premises. Birth Anniversary of Narasingh Nath Aghori & Plantation Programme
On the birth anniversary of Sri Sri Narasinghnath Aghori, at Baneswar Bhuthnath Temple at Swargadwar, Puri, Odisha. Banamali Foundation distributed free food to a large number of people and planted a number of trees at various locations.
Clown Show ( Laugh Therapy )
On behalf of our Trust (Banamali Foundation) organized a “Clown Show” in different places in Puri. Our trust also collaboration with Kittry Clown Team of Andhra Pradesh and Dotter Clown from Italy are interested to perform clown show at Puri. The trust decides to perform clown show in various Schools like Central School, Government Girls High School, Hindi School, Father School, Balaa Ashram, Children Anganwadi School, S.C.S College and Puri Jail in Puri to teach laughing therapy to the children and prisoners or jailbirds. Our clown show motto is to make them aware that “not only medicines can cure them but their smile can cure anything in their lives”. The trust also supports the movement of ‘Mission Puri Central University’ (a central aided University just like Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi).
